Even though glass has been used as long as 4,000 years ago, it was the Romans who perfected the art. They developed glass blowing techniques which made it possible to inexpensively mass produce glass vessels such as these. These delicate pieces are from the time of the New Testament and the story of Jesus. It is almost unbelievable that such delicate items could have endured century upon century right up to today. These were often used to contain cosmetics, oils, and other such liquids. You will be amazed at the lightness and delicate feel of each of these vessels. These bottles and tear vials come in three different sizes(sizes are approximate)and all are in excellent original condition. Most have a nice irridescent patina. Because of their age, these will fit in nicely with any ancient coins in your collection and will no doubt delight anyone interested in history from this period!
